Originally formed in June 2000, Godless (then known by a different name and a different sound) spent the next eight months writing, rehearsing and playing the Portland/Vancouver area before disbanding in February of the next year. Resurrected in late 2003, the band took on a new style drawing influences from the many different sub-genres of metal, further defining their own sound. Mixing death and black metal style vocals along with gut-wrenching screams, the heavily distorted assault that only three guitars can produce and maniacal drumming with an unhealthy dose of double bass have forged the distinct sound of Godless.
